BACKGROUND AND HISTORY

When visiting a famous temple in a village right outside of Nagpur city two years ago, we passed through the town of Ramtek. We were very amazed about the stark difference in scenery just a few hundred kilometers outside of the city can make. After speaking to villagers and even temple priests, we learned that to obtain even the basic level of care, villagers have to travel hours on foot just to reach the nearest hospital, and some cannot identify the name of the closest hospital to them.

Something had to be done.

Since 2019, we have been collaborating with the staff and administrators of Kimaya Hospital to plan educational seminars as well as use our contacts of the South Asian community in the NJ/NY area to help raise money to fund our camps.
